LOWEN88 owner and master hand-shaper, Wayne Lowen has a competitive surfing record which has seen him capture multiple New Zealand Open Titles and a spectacular second to Kelly Slater in the Pan Pacific Cup.
After making a career in shaping and surfboard innovation his priority, Wayne honed his craft under the eye of the legendary Bob Davie - mentor to both Alan Byrne and Rod Dahlberg.

He has since had extended stints with Byrning Spears, Phantom(Chris Garrett)and Mt Woodgee of Australia.
Today, Wayne Lowen is correctly regarded as one of the finest interpretive handcraftsmen in surfing.
